In a digital world that is progressively permeating every area of ​​our daily lives, security is a necessity for users, businesses, and national economies. To address the cyber dynamics, One Albania held a cyber security conference this Tuesday. The conference served as a platform for open dialogue on cyber risks and the need for measures to secure the various sectors.

In the opening speech, the CEO of One Albania, Brano Djurovic, emphasized the importance of a safe cyberspace for businesses and consumers.

“In today's digital age, cyber security is not just a technical issue; it is a fundamental aspect of our economy and society. At One Albania, we ensure that everyone is informed and connected. Moreover, we are the only TELCO company in Albania that guarantees the security of other companies' systems ", said Djurovic.

The conference brought together industry leaders, regulatory bodies, and key players to discuss the importance of cybersecurity across industries. Divided into two panels, the first panel discussed security in the financial sectors and then the next panel proceeded to discuss the necessary measurements for business protection and their empowerment.

The Directorate of the National Authority for Cyber ​​Security Igli Tafa and the member of the Supervisory Board of the Bank of Albania emphasized that cyber security is a national priority.

"In March this year, we updated the new cyber police law, which already gives a lot of power to the enforcement part of cyber companies in all operators and all sectors", said Tafa.

"The Bank of Albania has always been at the forefront of initiatives, either for the digitization of the financial system or for the protection from digitization. Two years ago, we approved the auto-identification and open banking regulation," said Deniz Deralla, member of the Supervisory Board at the Bank of Albania.

Among other things, this also served to reaffirm the role of One Albania, not only as a responsible company that recognizes the need to take measures against cyber threats but also as a special provider guaranteeing clients.
