The recent investment in 5G spectrum position ONE Albania to deliver a cutting-edge 5G mobile network, unlocking exceptional capacity and opening the door to a future of unmatched connectivity.

After the spectrum auction organized by the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority, One Albania acquired the right of usage of frequencies in the 3400 MHz and 3800 MHz bands for a period of 15 years. With already existing and newly acquired frequencies, One Albania will improve the speed and capacity of mobile 5G technology, revolutionizing the way we access and use mobile data.

By 2025, the main goal is to ensure comprehensive 5G network coverage across key strategic areas, including major ports (Durrës, Vlorë, Shëngjin, Sarandë, Porto Romano), airports (Rinas, Kukës, Vlorë), the Tirana-Durrës industrial zone, and critical hospital areas in Tirana.

Furthermore, plans are in place to ensure seamless 5G connectivity in the most visited coastal hotspots, enabling unparalleled digital experiences for tourists and delivering exceptional 5G performance in popular leisure destinations, fostering innovation in entertainment and digital engagement.

" Acquiring 5G spectrum licenses in Albania marks a significant milestone in advancing infrastructure and future technologies across the region. This is a critical step towards building the infrastructure needed to bring cutting-edge 5G technology to Albania, enhancing connectivity and supporting economic growth." – said Péter Fekete, CEO of 4iG Group.

The combination of 5G-oriented spectrum resources ensures a One network capable of meeting even the highest expectations of users, in terms of speed and amount of data transfer.

In parallel with the preparations for 5G, One Albania has implemented "Clean Network" policies, making Albania the first country to join this initiative in the region to establish internationally accepted standards for a secure global internet and call protection and data transmissions through communication networks.

" This big step reflects our ongoing commitment to bring the latest technological advancements to Albanians, ensuring that our customers and businesses benefit from world-class connectivity. We continuously are trying to empower a new chapter of digitization in Albania, maintaining international standards." - added CEO of One Albania, Brano Djurovic.

Even for 2024 One Albania’s mobile network, the largest and most modern in Albania, got the maximum of points for voice calls, data and application usage, tested by the Finnish company Omnitele.

One Albania has already positioned itself as a leader in the telecommunications market by transforming itself into a fully integrated service provider that can guarantee all: mobile, fixed and TV services in a single package.
